DBCI’s Parent Company Merges with Residential and Renovation Leader

DBCI’s Parent Company, NCI Building Systems, Merges with Residential and Renovation Construction Leader, Ply Gem

DBCI’s parent company, NCI Building Systems (NCI) and Ply Gem Parent, LLC (Ply Gem) announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement Tuesday, July 17, 2018.

As a leading manufacturer of exterior building products—including the commercial and self-storage roll-up doors and hallway systems produced by DBCI—NCI is excited about incorporating Ply Gem’s commercial and residential new construction and repair & remodel solutions into the building solutions portfolio we can offer our customers.

Joint Synergies and Strength

The combined Company will leverage shared strengths and best-in-class manufacturing capabilities to become a one-stop solution for exterior building envelope needs. This market-leading combination provides an improved ability to deliver a more diverse product portfolio across multiple end-markets, enhanced product innovation and continuous improvement opportunities, as well as manufacturing, procurement and near-term cost synergies. As a result, DBCI customers will be able to attain a wider variety of high-quality building products and solutions from their trusted DBCI teams while continuing to benefit from our commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences every step of the way.

Customer and Business Impact

DBCI will continue to operate in the same way we do today during and after the merger transaction, and you can continue to work with your existing DBCI contacts as you have always done. Because both companies traditionally serve different end-markets, DBCI expects no changes to our operations as a result of the merger.

Thank you for your continued partnership. Our priority is to continue to provide the high-quality products and service you expect, and our team is excited about the opportunity this change has to improve upon those expectations and better support your businesses.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me or a member of our DBCI leadership team.
