As we come to the end of 2018, I would like to thank our loyal customers for your ongoing support with DBCI, review opportunities we have embraced over the year and share our goals for 2019.
First, I'd like to discuss the recent news of DBCI's parent company, NCI Building Systems (NCI), and Ply Gem, LLC (Ply Gem) which finalized a merger on November 16, 2018. We are looking forward to this opportunity as it allows us to provide you with an improved ability to deliver a more diverse product portfolio across multiple end-markets, enhanced product innovation and continuous improvement opportunities. Our focus is to continue to service your needs and leverage the unique strengths of each company to exceed your expectations. DBCI will continue to operate the way we do today, and you can continue to work with your existing DBCI contacts as you have always done. This year we conducted a brand and market study to learn how to best serve you and launched the Voice of the Customer program which has allowed us to make operational and strategic improvements to the organization from your feedback. Many thanks to those that have provided their feedback so far through our survey; we take your responses seriously and are implementing improvements every day. Accomplishments we have achieved so far include:
- Reduced quote times
- Improvements to the credit application
- Streamlined our commercial and manufacturing operations
- Analysis of our installation partners to improve quality of our installation
- Research for alternatives for packaging and shipping
Looking forward to 2019, we will have a strengthened focus on being the contractor's choice for steel roll-up doors, resources dedicated to research and development to ensure the exceptional product performance and a continued fundamental commitment to providing you with an exceptional customer experience.
I'd like to thank all of you who participated in our research survey earlier this year. We have received candid and constructive feedback on what you expect to receive from your metal roll-up door supplier and are reconstructing the face of DBCI to provide you with the level of service and expertise you deserve.
