Quarterly Update
We would firstly like to thank our loyal customers for your ongoing support and partnership with DBCI. We have experienced some challenges this year, due in large part to the steel tariffs affecting our industry and putting pressure on steel supply. We are proud of our team who has demonstrated extreme resiliency in the face of these industry-wide challenges and has aggressively improved processes and planned for growth to ensure exceptional customer experiences in the long-term.
This dedication by our people has once again been recognized by Rural Builder through the award of the 2018 Gold Key of Excellence for the sixth consecutive year. We are proud of this but will be relentless about continuous improvement of our communication and service levels. Your ongoing feedback is a catalyst to these improvements, and we thank each of you that have responded to surveys or engaged in our customer roundtables.
We invite you to join the DBCI team and me at the Self-Storage Association (SSA) Fall Conference & Trade Show in booth #631 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas to find out more about our initiatives. We will feature our new innovative corrugated drum, which is designed to improve door alignment on all light- and heavy-duty roll-up door applications, enabling the corrugated sheet to roll up faster and with tighter, superior control.
Lastly, we announced in July that DBCI’s parent company, NCI Building Systems (NCI) and Ply Gem Parent, LLC (Ply Gem) declared the signing of a definitive merger agreement. DBCI will continue to operate in the way we do today and after the merger transaction, and you can continue to work with your existing DBCI contacts as you have always done. Because both companies traditionally serve different end-markets, DBCI expects no changes to our operations as a result of the merger.
